Guided tours with our knowledgeable staff must always be booked in advance. However, the class can also visit many of our palaces without a guide. Pre-booking of independent visits is recommended, but not required.    The Royal Palace, Gripsholms Castle, Drottningholm Palace and  The Chinese Pavilion: can be visited with a palace guide or independently. Pre-booking is required if you request a palace guide, but not if you make an independent visit.  Our other Royal Palaces: All visits must be booked in advance and is led by a palace guide. 

It is possible to pay by card at the entrance upon arrival at all of the royal attractions, or to buy the tickets online (by card) on our ticket page before the visit. It is also possible to be invoiced if a voucher from the school is presented at the ticket counter. When booking a guided tour, we always ask for the invoice address.

The price varies depending on whether the visit takes place independently or as a tour, and during what time of the year the visit takes place. Please contact the specific palace/attraction for more information.

No, there are no picnic rooms available at our royal sights. However, visitors are most welcome to enjoy their picnic in our palace parks. Please remember to take litter home or dispose of it in the bins provided near the park entrances.

The Royal Palace: a limited number of lockers are available at  the Ticket & Information Office located in the outer courtyard. The boxes measure H:59 cm, W: 39cm, D:51 cm. The lockers must be emptied before closing time. Handbags and small backpacks can be brought inside. Please do not bring suitcases or large bags, as they are not permitted inside the Royal Palace and cannot be left unattended. All other locations: no storage lockers available.
