How much does it cost to enter The Royal Palaces?

Can I book tickets for children under 7 years?
There is no need to book tickets for children under 7 years. Simply tell someone at the cash desk on arrival if you have young children with you, and they will be issued with a free ticket on site. There are always individual spaces available for children under 7 years, provided that the parent/guardian has a ticket.  NB: availability cannot be guaranteed for larger groups with young children, e.g. preschool classes. Please contact us via email before the visit then.
Can I buy an annual card to The Royal Palaces?
Yes, with the annual card you can visit our royal palaces as many times as you wish during regular opening hours! Read more about the card and how to buy it here: Annual card - The Royal Palaces
Do I have to buy the entrance ticket prior to the visit?
Entrance tickets can be purchased either via our website or directly at our front desk on your arrival.  If you plan on taking a guided tour we recommend purchasing tickets in advance as we have a set number of tickets. Entrance tickets and tickets for guided tours can be purchased here
I am a student, do I need to present my student ID?
Yes, if you have purchased a student ticket online or intend to do so upon arrival, you will need to show your valid student ID at the entrance on the day for the visit. We accept student cards from both Swedish and foreign high schools, colleges and universities.
I have an ICOM-card, how do I book my ticket?
If you have an ICOM card, which gives free entrance to The Royal Palaces, the ticket can only be purchased at the entrance on arrival.  Pre-booking online is not available.
Is there a senior discount?
No, there is no senior discount for our royal palaces.
Can I change the date/time of my ticket?
Subject to availability and provided that sufficient notice is given, we are happy to assist with changing the date/time. Please note that the original ticket date must not have passed. Please contact the booking office, preferably by phone at +46 8 402 61 00, weekdays between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM, so that we can ensure the matter is processed in time. Kindly note that these requests can only be handled on weekdays. Purchased tickets are non-refundable.
What currency can I pay with?
Credit cards and cash are accepted at our visitor centers. We only accept Swedish kronor (SEK).    
Do I have to print my ticket?
No, you can also show your ticket on a smartphone.  
Which student cards do you accept?
We accept student cards from both Swedish and foreign high schools, colleges and universities.
Is the Go City card (former Stockholm Pass) valid at your premises?
Yes, the Go City card is valid at The Royal Palace The Riddarholmen Church Drottningholm Palace The Chinese Pavilion Gripsholm Castle Please note that the card does not provide free entry to other Royal Palaces.
What is included in the entrance ticket to The Royal Palace?
The Royal Palace ticket includes entrance to The Royal Apartments, The Treasury and Museum Three Crowns. The ticket is valid for visit on your own. Note! In conjunction with His Majesty the King's official receptions the Royal Palace can be completely or partially closed.  
For how long are the admission tickets valid?
Entrance ticket for Self-guided Visit Your ticket is valid on the date shown and allows entry at any time during our regular opening hours. Entrance ticket with Guided Tour Your ticket is valid for the specific date and time indicated. Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure a smooth start. If the site also allows self-guided visits, you’re welcome to explore independently before or after your guided tour—as long as it’s still within our regular opening hours. Some of our palaces can only be visited as part of a guided tour. In these cases, visitors are kindly asked to leave the premises once the tour has ended.
